ExtensionTotal is an automated security assessment tool designed to evaluate the safety of Visual Studio Code extensions. By continuously scanning the VS Code Marketplace, ExtensionTotal produces a comprehensive risk score for each extension based on multiple security findings. Organizations and individuals leverage ExtensionTotal to continuously monitor the extensions installed within their developers IDEs and remove risky extensions

Usage

ExtensionTotal Web and VSCode extension are free for personal use.

ExtensionTotal API requires to purchase an organization plan here. We offer one paid plan for organization use providing unlimited API requests.

How to use ExtensionTotal VSCode Extension?

1. Install the ExtensionTotal VSCode extension in your Visual Studio Code
2. Sign up to extensiontotal.com and grab your free API key from the profile page.
3. Go back to your Visual Studio Code, and configure your API key in the ExtensionTotal VSCode extension settings page.

How to get an unlimited API Key?

1. Sign up to extensiontotal.com
2. Purchase the Business plan here.
3. We'll upgrade your API key and notify you in 1-2 business days via email.
4. Once notified, go to your profile page and get your unlimited API key.
5. For enterprise use, reach out through the Enterprise plan here

Business API key is for organizations with up to 100 developers
